Christmas at Harewood House

After we have boarded the coach we will travel to Harewood House admiring the North Yorkshire scenery on our way. We hope to arrive about 11am and you will have the whole day to explore the house, gardens and grounds. We will interrupt your day at 12.30pm when we will be served our Christmas themed light lunch in the Courtyard Café.

Harewood House is one of the finest Treasure Houses in England nestled in the North Yorkshire Countryside. Built in 1759 by Edwin Lascelles, money was no object, the finest crafts people of the time were employed including the fashionable interior designer Robert Adam, and Thomas Chippendale, England’s greatest furniture maker. Today the house is open to the public showcasing Renaissance masterpieces, exquisite family portraits as well as a large collection of Sevres china.

It is a unique opportunity to visit Harewood during the festive period, as the grand interior is dressed in Christmas Décor, and there may be opportunities for a spot of Christmas Shopping. We will board the coach again at 4pm to travel home.
