Once we have all boarded the coach we will make our way to Northumberland making a stop at Heighley Gate Garden centre on route where we will spend an hour to take time to have a coffee or explore the vast choice of products on offer.

Once we are back on the coach, sit back and enjoy the Northumberland scenery as we make our way to Bamburgh Castle, which has dominated the coast line for over 1,400 years. One of the largest inhabited castles in England you will be able to spend the rest of the day discovering its history whilst wandering through the magnificent fortress. Learn of the exciting stories of the Castle’s turbulent past, some claim that the Castle is haunted by many ghosts including The Pink Lady, the Northumbrian Princess that once lived here, who is said to return to the castle every seven years dressed in a gown of pink.

Spend time viewing the Kings Hall, the Victorian masterpiece was once the Castle’s main banqueting room and boasts a false hammer beam ceiling carved with intricate designs by the King of Siam. Or browse the thousands of artefacts exhibited including arms & armour, porcelain, furniture and art work. Be sure to take opportunity to appreciate the breath-taking views Bamburgh Castle offers over the Farne Islands & Lindesfarne, before we board the coach again at 5pm to make our way home. An estimated time of arrival home will be given to you once we have started our journey.
